January or February are the best months to buy a car. Sales are the slowest then and dealers will take offers they wouldn’t otherwise. Clearance sales are also a good time to buy. But not as good as the two dead months.
Dealers know they’ll get a lot of foot traffic during clearance sales. But they get very little in Jan and Feb. So they’re much more eager to make a deal then.
The Showroom has each year model to clear for the next year model to be lauched. That is the moment you go for it ($3000/- to $4000/- cash discount is the norm, sometimes other gifts as well)
This is usually second half of the year. The current economy means can be last two months of the year
January is the best time since many of the dealer are trying their best to clear their stock.
Right when the new models come out. They need to make room for new stock.
