Get something small & 5-speed with roll down windows. AC,PS,PB & airbags are the only option you need. Power windows, locks & power seats and traction controll adds over 200LBS of extra weight. Then an automatic VS a stick will add another 100 or so lbs. I know becasue I own a 95 cavalier 5speed with no extras & my gf has an 01 cav. with most of the options. Towing the two cars across country on trailers her newer cavalier was NOTICABLY heavier than mine. So in other words you will need to custom order you’re car stripped down becasue dealrs dont like carrying them. Good luck.

The best one is the Toyota Prius. 60mpg… IN THE CITY!! Can’t beat that without buying a Honda Insight, but the Insight is like driving a freakin’ lawn mower. I highly recommend the Prius. Not only does it get better gas mileage, but it produces much less CO2 emissions compared to other cars.

Just about any Honda, Toyota, or any Japanese sedan.
Like the Toyota Camry, Prius, Yaris, Honda Civic, Accord, Nissan Altima, or small wagons like the Honda Fit. They’re reliable, great on gas, have very low cost of ownership…
The Honda Fit, Honda Civic and Nissan Altima hybrid are the best of the best IMO.

Honda Civic Ex,,,they are great on gas, and Honda’s do not wear out…..
I have an Accord EX, and I have a Lexus SUV, and in town I drive the Lexus, but on trips we take my new Accord EX, it gets great mileage….the Honda’s you can get them any way you want, a six cylinder, 4 cylinder, automatics, standard, 5 speed, sun roof, my Honda has heated seats for winter and ac seats in the summer, I have leather seats…and the Lexus has the same kind of seats, the Lexus is great but still cannot beat the Honda at all, except for the luxury, and my Honda is fully loaded, cant put anything else on it…..the maintenance on Honda’s are terrific and can go up to 45,000 miles between oil changes,,,and tune ups last a long time also.
check the Honda’s out, you will love them….and the HONDA-UV is great also…..
I have owned Honda’s since 1980 and they cannot be beat for price, gas mileage and maintenance, get a car that will last and keep going way beyond a Toyota, VW, Chevy, Ford, Dodge, and any of those cheap cars like KIA, Subaru, they are all show for the price and do not hold up at all..
